As a few of you know, I am currently working on my custom theme for this blog. I am trying to make it clean, sharp, professional, easy to use, etc. I have gone ahead and created a concept design. Instead of just using it right away, I want to get some reader feedback and see what everyone thinks of it. Tell me what you like, what you don’t like, what works, what doesn’t work. Any and all tips are helpful.

The concept can be found here.

Thanks!
Brian

I really like it! The ONLY thing I don’t like is any horizontal scrolling to see right side of website. Other than that, looks great!

Thanks Mike. And it is optimized for 1024×768 screen resolution…which is what my computer sees it as. So for me I don’t have any horizontal scrolling. I’ll work and try and fix this!

So the image is going off the right side of your screen? Are you on a widescreen monitor?

    It’s a 19″ I think.

Hm. Well I am on the 13″ Macbook and I have about 3 extra inches on the right side of my screen. I guess I don’t really know what to say except that it’s 1024 pixels wide.

the screenshot you provide is 1024 width - - there is an automatic loss of approx. 30 pixels in width to account for the vertical scrollbar in browser windows.. so 994 or less …or 1024′rs will get a horizontal scroll.

    Nice job on the layout.

    Cheers!

Thank you Lisa. I noticed this yesterday when I used someone’s Dell computer. I already fixed it, so just imagine it fitting perfectly :)
