There have been a few articles in the past couple of weeks that have gotten me to focus on comment form design - most specifically the one from Kreativ Use. However, while the form design can be appealing, and sometimes entertaining, the actual comments themselves should be the larger focus. After all, you want your readers to feel comfortable engaging in a discussion on your blog - from typography, to element placement (name, date, etc.) all the way down to color and organization, comment zones are extremely important to a web design. That’s why today I want to showcase 15 creative and original comment zones. I chose these specific examples based on typography, organization, color, information placement, image use, and readability. I hope these will inspire you to tidy up your comment zone and make it better for both you and your readers. Enjoy!

Very timely… I just changed the format of the comments on my blog but it’s still not what I was going for. Great roundup to draw inspiration from here.

@Katy - I actually think your comment section is very organized and easy to read - so much better than 90% of blogs out there. Hope this post helps though :)

Thanks for this list, and the one in the following post too. The best designs in my view are the ones with a beautiful simplicity to them.

I love little collectives like this because, if nothing else, they hip me to new and creative websites that I may not have seen before. Thanks. :)

I think snook’s is the most original and interesting, or creative to use your word.
