After blogging for a few months and getting a large reader base, it can be all too easy to stop writing and hope that the cash and visitors keep flowing in. Unfortunately, that is never the case. As bloggers, we have to realize that to maintain our online presence, we must always keep writing, developing and growing. The problem is that, after a while, getting ideas for posts can become more and more daunting as our pool of ideas pours down the drain.
.
So how can you get some ideas for your next great post? The answer: You need to choose your work environment very carefully. Think about the place where you write the most posts for your blog. For me, it’s on my laptop in my office. Now try this: next time before you start a post, go to another room, put on some music, make sure you have a window looking outside, and then start writing.
.
The other day I took my laptop to my kitchen, put on my ipod, looked right out the window towards the valley in front of my house and … oh, how refreshing it was. I felt compelled to write.

What we all need the most is to get out of our comfort zone. For me that would mean getting out of my office. We need to get outside and start observing the world. Take a day off and walk through the city or the mountains. There is no doubt that you will see, hear, or feel something that either inspires you to write or gets those creative juices pumping. Make sure you choose your work environment carefully before you find yourself feeling too constricted and running out of those great ideas that got your blog up and running in the first place.
