Blogging Zoom - Get In While You Still Can

We’ve all experienced the pain and frustration of attempting to get onto the front page of Digg. For some of us, it is easy, but for millions of people around the world, the front page of Digg is like a fantasy world that we can only dream about without ever getting there. So, if you are one of those millions, I have something you may want to check out, and get in on it before its too late: Blogging Zoom.
What is it? It is a very Digg-like site. The main difference is that it is not as populated or congested. How do I know? Because out of the 8 articles I’ve submitted to them, all 8 have been “featured” if you will. The upside? I got featured and got that extra boost of traffic. The downside? There aren’t as many readers of Blogging Zoom, thus the traffic was substantially less than what I could have gotten if I made it onto the front page of Digg.
Another substantial difference is that, unlike Digg, Blogging Zoom only features blogs. You aren’t going to find any big websites getting their articles featured like CNN, Fox, Apple, etc. Why is this good? Because it eliminates the competition and always having to fight with the big-name articles. This makes getting your articles to be read a whole lot easier.
So why switch? The way I see it, Blogging Zoom is another website that provides internet users access to popular articles, pictures, and videos. Since we all want to see interesting content online, people will begin flocking to sites like Digg and Blogging Zoom. My theory is to get in early, get established, get yourself known, so that later you will have an easier time getting your articles featured. This is not to say that you are guaranteed to get featured, however I think that if you can go ahead and establish your presence now, it will simply be easier later.
So go ahead, try it out. Even if you don’t sign up, take a look around and read some of the articles that have become featured on the front page. All of them are usually interesting and provide some quality reading.

Well, one of the other positives for Blogging Zoom that sets it apart from Digg is that it doesnt’ feature articles from the big official entertainment/news sites…this is just bloggers zooming bloggers, nothing more. So it makes it more of an even playing field for all of us.
You’re probably right about getting in on this early. We”ll have to wait and see what happens.
@Mike - so true. I’ll add that to the article, I can’t believe I left that out!
@Tim - exactly, only time can tell how it will help us in the long run.
I’m definitely a huge fan of BloggingZoom. I’ve been using it since Day 1 and I haven’t looked back since. It’s been sending me a lot of new traffic and I’ve found tons of new blogs that I’m now reading on a regular basis. It’s one of the best things to happen to blogging in a long time.
You’re right about getting in early. It’s still so early in the game that you have a great chance of being noticed and featured. It doesn’t even take that many Zooms to make a post HOT so it’s still easy to get your stuff noticed.
I’d invite everyone to jump in and get their feet wet. It’s a lot of fun.
@Jason - Definitely! So far I’ve had some great experiences as well as some good traffic flow. Not to mention I’ve found other blogs that are really great.
Great Article I’m a huge fan of BlogginZoom. Getting here early will help, you can create friends easier in a smaller group than digg. Your posts have a higher potential to actually be read. The best thing I found on Bloggingzoom, really great quality blogs like yours.
I’m liking Blogging Zoom too. I have happened on some very interesting stuff on my travels there.
It will probably evolve into a pretty awesome network of bloggers. Lets hope regular people use it too.
Great post.
It was love at first site.
I just joined BloggingZoom yesterday and I’m already hooked. I want the community to grow but I still want it to be fun.
“Lets hope regular people use it too.”
Regular person reporting in. two arms, two legs, etc.
I just found Blogging Zoom today. It looks promising.
