Coincidentally after I got a comment on my iPhone webclips post asking what some good image editors were, PSDTuts wrote a post containing just the information needed. Here are the top 5 alternatives to Photoshop for Mac users.

A nice article. GIMP got some more love and there are some nice other suggestions as well.

Hi Brian
Just wanted to drop you a quick line, nothing to do with this post.
My site design is evolving almost daily. I have played with so many colour variations etc, that at the moment, I am using a Black/Orange scheme. I have been a big fan of either lime Green and Black or the Orange/Black pairings.
But after living with the Lime/Black I found it sort of lacked any depth.
I just wanted you to know that I am not going to rip off your design. Just the colours really work. Hope your ok with it all. Probably end up changing to Blue or something other colour anyway in a few days time. I get bored quick. But just wanted to run this past you as a head’s up. :0)
Regards
Graham

Hey Graham, sorry for the delayed reply. That’s fine by me. It’s not like I copyrighted these colors right? Let me know when your redesign is complete, I would love to check it out.

Ha ha. Me? Finish it? Being a compulsive perfectionist I think that is just an impossibility…
I am going back to basics at the moment, a more simplified 2 col theme, with adverts and affiliates on a special ‘classified’ advert page to reduce clutter.
I will be having one ad only on the front page which will be Wordpress related only, such as yours as I feel this is more appropriate to the blog than random ads that do nothing for the layout.
So I have had to remove your theme ad for the moment, but it will be back in place once I have got the layout tweaked.
Am having massive problems getting the ‘top commentators’ plug in’s to work. Think I have tried most of the versions out there and they all end up showing zero commentators. Very frustrating.
So limited with my PHP Knowledge that it’s proving a very tedious process indeed, would be much more confident in Dreamweaver of something, would be streets ahead by now. But sticking with it…
I know that picking up a them and modified it in some respects is harder as you have to work your way around the various styles and methodology. I can imagine that when you are starting from scratch, and you have your own way of working, then it can be a more streamline way of working, not quicker but just that you know what’s what.
But then what do i know.
